November 14, 2024 Pia and Ralph contacted me to learn more about a shoot in Venice last Summer. Then they changed their plans, and in the Fall they contacted me again to see if I was available. The vibe of the shoot is very different when seasons change: the light was soft and a little cold. But the elegance they brought to our day was magical, especially Pia with her beautiful white dress. They recently got engaged after many years as a couple. Living between Manila and Singapore, and eager to explore more and travel, they settled for a wedding in the Philippines but also wanted some engagement pictures in Venice.

We met on the colorful island of Burano in the late afternoon, where the golden light cast a warm, romantic glow over every frame. Catherine, six months along, radiated joy and calm, and it was especially meaningful to photograph her while expecting myself just a few months behind her. We walked through vibrant alleyways, shared stories about motherhood, and captured this fleeting moment before their family grows from three to four.
