With their first child staying with grandparents back in the U.S., the couple took time to reconnect, wander through quiet canals, and indulge in Venice’s beauty—just the two of them. We met on the colorful island of Burano in the late afternoon, where the golden light cast a warm, romantic glow over every frame. Catherine, six months along, radiated joy and calm, and it was especially meaningful to photograph her while expecting myself just a few months behind her. We walked through vibrant alleyways, shared stories about motherhood, and captured this fleeting moment before their family grows from three to four. Burano, with its painted houses and peaceful charm, turned out to be the perfect backdrop for a heartfelt, golden-hour maternity session they’ll treasure forever.
